Ep. 15 Exposing embarrassment for what it's not worth

Co-Host Kirk Nurmi

We are not born with a sense of embarrassment, nor is there any sort of universal standard for what is and what is not embarrassing. Instead, it is a culturally sensitive concept taught to us by our family and our peers. A concept we accept without reflection because the burden of embarrassment appears to be universal, an inherent part of being human. Yet in reality, being embarrassed is a personal choice. A choice over which we have complete control. That’s right, no matter how much people judge us, the choice to accept or reject that judgment and be embarrassed by it rests solely within us. Join us as as we have a real conversation about lessening the impact that embarrassment can have on our life.
