In this final episode of the Joy Podcast with Rosemary Sambora, join Rosemary and her guest Karen Klemens as they explore Karen’s thoughts and input on joy. Joy is a way of life or being; and happens when an individual is in sync with the Greater Good/God/Absolute Reality/All That Is. We can set the stage to be open to when joy happens. For example, we can practice intentional prayer, immerse ourselves in nature, and people watch, to name a few ways of setting the stage. This stage-setting also helps to awaken us to our True Oneness, which is also a source of joy. If we want to share joy, being a vessel of light, and all that that entails, is one way to do so.

Since our world seems so complex, heavy, and confusing, we can definitely benefit by having more joy. And if we have a stance of open intentionality, that can allow joy to “break in” even when we least expect it.

You will also hear about a source that brings joy in Rosemary’s life, her entrepreneurial endeavor, Joyful Desert Rose, which allows her to serve others by helping them realize health goals, especially with regard to nutrition, and/or using essential oils. Visit joyfuldesertrose.com to learn more.

It has been a joy to do this podcast, as well as a huge stretch of my comfort zone. I have learned much and thank all of my guests for their time and support of this endeavor. Thank you, too, to all at Star Worldwide Networks for the opportunity, and for your amazing flexibility, especially when scheduling issues arose. It has been a joy. Blessings on all of us as we continue our journey.

In this episode of the Joy Podcast with Rosemary Sambora, join Rosemary and her guest Pam Brown, as they explore joy and happiness and how they might be different, joy being more long-lasting and happiness more transient. Joy is to be found in continual positive actions or habits, such as attending church, reading Scripture, meditation, dancing, laughing with family, having a relationship with God/Jehovah/Higher Power/Ultimate Reality/Holy Energy, and looking back on good childhood memories. If we focus and think about it, we can find lots of ways that we can bring more joy into the world. And bringing joy might involve stepping out of ourselves, stretching our comfort zone(s). We can then make our joy contagious. Is there a mind-body connection to joy? Listen and find out. Pam wrote a story piece about a terminal patient that she took care of and shares how that was a joyful experience in her life. Let the world know your joy and thereby spread it.

You are cordially invited to come along on our journey to joy.

In this episode of the Joy Podcast with Rosemary Sambora, join Rosemary and her guest Anthony Eaton, Executive Director of Recovery Cafe - Valley of the Sun. Anthony’s journey to joy involves being in recovery from addiction. His story is one to which many people (especially those in recovery) can relate. If you or someone you know struggles with addiction, know that you can still experience hope and joy. For Anthony, surrender was/is a big part of the pathway. And when we see or experience suffering that might steal our joy, Anthony recommends that we “step up”, get involved, and lead by example to effect a positive change and get us back on the joy journey.

In this episode of the Joy Podcast with Rosemary Sambora, join Rosemary and her guest Deborah Waldenberger. From growing up on a farm in Wisconsin, to visiting Hungary and Sri Lanka, see joy through Deborah’s eyes in these places. Get the bead on joy as Deborah shares input from asking others for their take(s) on joy. For example, is joy intrinsic or extrinsic? She also likens joy to the foundation of a house, with the house representing our being…the more joy, the stronger and more solid is our being. Also, learning how to “step back” from an obstacle to joy can actually help to maintain joy.

In this episode of the Joy Podcast with Rosemary Sambora, join Rosemary and her guest Craig Cottle. Craig is on the bandwagon for joy and you can tell that by the name of his company, Essential Oil Joy. Listen to Craig’s thoughts on how joy carries a strong spiritual component and how that ties in with the unseen energies all around us. One very positive energy can be experienced with diffusing essential oils. What brings Craig joy? Here are a couple of things: building models and working in his woodshop. These are among his “happy places”. And there’s more. When we are selfless and altruistic, for example, helping others achieve their goals and success, and knowing that we’ve had a part in it all, is a path to joy.

In this episode of the Joy Podcast with Rosemary Sambora, Rosemary spoke with long-time friend Dr. Rita Anita Linger, who shared her thoughts about joy, saying that it does take work, and it's time well spent in getting to "joyful space". Dr. Linger excellently simplifies the mind-body processes by which we experience joy; and she tells us that joy is no accident. She also includes practical tips, such as 1) start with gratitude and 2) make a plan. Hear how she does it. And you’ll be amazed at how easy it can be for you to adapt to your situation and start to cultivate joy. For example, plan to do something that you enjoy on your day off. Develop a routine to do at least one thing consistently and that will help to train your brain to go to your joyful space. Also, make sure that your self-talk is loving and kind. And there's more.
