Ep. 9 Priscilla Ornelas joins Now with Jen

Priscilla Ornelas not only grew up in Arizona, she grew up on Mix 96.9. She started out as a morning show intern and promoted to cohost within 2 years and became one half of The Mathew and Priscilla Show and has built her brand with Mix 96.9 for the last 9 years! It was important to her to create a bright future for herself so that her mother’s sacrifice to come to America was worth it. Though she has built a life she is proud of with her husband and two kids and a great career. The journey was not a linear route. Being the daughter of an immigrant, a Latina in the media industry, and woman in man’s world of radio, she proves that despite adversity she was able to overcome what could have stood in her way and is now an inspiration for woman of all ages and demographics and her mission is to show women that they don’t need to be put in boxes and that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams!
